A spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office said Zelensky made the remarks during a phone call with Prime Minister Johnson that day.

A State Department statement said the G7 foreign ministers had stressed to their Ukrainian counterparts their determination to jointly respond to Russian aggression and that Moscow would pay a heavy price and consequences for waging war against Ukraine. “We stand with Ukraine and appreciate the heroic spirit of the Ukrainian people,” the statement said. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has released the latest casualty figures. 352 Ukrainian civilians were killed, including 14 children. Another 1,684 people were injured, including 116 children.

The UN General Assembly will hold an emergency meeting on Monday (February 28) over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The meeting was voted on by the council on Sunday (February 27). Among them, Russia cast the right vote, and China, India, and the United Arab Emirates abstained.

The U.S. embassy in Moscow on Sunday (Feb. 27) urged U.S. citizens to consider leaving Russia immediately. Some airlines have suspended flights there, and some countries have closed their airspace to Russian planes.

The United States approved the first direct supply of Stinger missiles to Ukraine as part of a delivery plan approved by the White House on Friday. However, the exact delivery time is not yet clear.

Ukraine’s neighbor Belarus has arrested more than 500 protesters against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the country’s most prominent human rights body said.

White House spokeswoman Shaqi urged China to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. “This is not the time to be on the sidelines,” she told MSNBC. On Friday, China abstained and Russia vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution condemning the invasion.
